The Pokémon GO Blanche event is bringing a slower, research-focused week to Pokémon GO, but do not mistake “slower” for boring. Between boosted Lapras encounters, Incense bonuses, GO Pass rewards, and a Team Mystic-themed Lapras cosmetic encounter, there is actually quite a lot packed into this event.
Running from Tuesday, May 26, at 10:00 a.m. until Monday, June 1, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time, the Pokémon GO Blanche event is the first of the new Team Leader seasonal quest events leading into Pokémon GO Fest 2026.
And honestly? This one feels very “Blanche.” Calm, research-heavy, and quietly rewarding if you actually put the time into it.
Pokémon GO Blanche Event Wild Encounters

During the Pokémon GO Blanche event, several Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild:
- Squirtle
- Alolan Vulpix
- Krabby
- Staryu
- Galarian Zigzagoon
If you are lucky, you may also encounter:
- Lapras
- Vaporeon
- Larvitar
While this may not look like the flashiest event spawn pool ever released, there are actually some genuinely valuable Pokémon here.
Larvitar remains one of the most useful Pokémon families in Pokémon GO thanks to Tyranitar’s continued raid relevance, while Lapras always ends up attracting shiny hunters every single time it returns to rotation. Alolan Vulpix also remains a fan-favourite because shiny Alolan Ninetales is still one of the best-looking shinies in the game.
This is very much one of those events where casual grinding quietly adds up over the week.
Pokémon GO Blanche Event Incense Encounters

Incense becomes much more valuable during the Pokémon GO Blanche event.
Using Incense can attract:
- Cubone
- Horsea
- Lapras
- Vaporeon
- Larvitar
- Sableye
- Clamperl
- Cubchoo
Honestly, this is probably where most players are going to spend their time during the event.
Lapras appearing through Incense is already enough to get plenty of players interested, but Larvitar and Sableye being included makes this feel significantly stronger than some recent filler-style events Pokémon GO has released.
The boosted Incense duration bonus later in the GO Pass progression also makes it easier to keep farming encounters without constantly refreshing items.
Pokémon GO Blanche Event GO Pass Rewards
The Pokémon GO Blanche event also continues the GO Pass system that Niantic has been pushing heavily this season.
Players automatically receive the standard GO Pass during the event, allowing them to earn GO Points and unlock rewards simply by playing.
However, players can also purchase the GO Pass Deluxe for upgraded rewards and faster progression.
Some of the featured rewards include:
- Lapras wearing a Blanche-themed accessory
- Additional Lapras encounters
- Premium Battle Passes
- Glacial Lure Modules
- Extra progression bonuses
There are also milestone bonuses tied to progression:
- Rank 10 unlocks bonus Candy for evolving Pokémon
- Rank 20 unlocks double Incense duration
That Rank 20 bonus honestly feels surprisingly strong for players planning longer grind sessions.
Is the Pokémon GO Blanche Event Worth Playing?
The Pokémon GO Blanche event probably will not dominate social media the same way GO Fest or major legendary debuts do, but it honestly looks like one of the better “quiet grind” events we have had recently.
If you enjoy shiny hunting, stacking Field Research encounters, farming Larvitar candy, or simply relaxing with Incense running in the background, there is a lot to like here.
It also acts as a nice warm-up before the much larger GO Fest 2026 events begin rolling out globally.
